PA’s Client Assistance Program

I was introduced to Steve Pennington and Jamie Ray-Leonetti by Janet Fiore of the Sierra Group Foundation. Janet heard me speak on LinkedIn and she introduced me to Steve and Jamie. Steve and Jamie head up PA CAP which is a wonderful advocacy program for people with disabilities administered by the Center for Disability Law & Policy.

They had a Website but it wasn’t easy to manage. In fact, Jamie said it was a struggle adding content and making changes. They asked if I could help. I had one word for them: WORDPRESS!

First thing I did was go through their old site with a fine tooth comb and I reorganized all the content, determining what would be considered pages and what would be considered blog posts. Once I had an idea of structure, I created a design for them. Because Steve and Jamie work with people with disabilities, I made sure the site was disability-friendly! This meant I used a very light colored background and made the text nice and big and easy to read. I also provided the ability for the reader to make the text bigger if needed.

I am so very happy with how this Website came out! It’s easy now for Jamie and Steve to make updates and it’s easy for their readers to navigate and read!
