Excelerate You

I was in my office one late afternoon catching up on my email. I noticed that my college website allowed for alumnae to post notes about their current lives and so I thought, WHAT THE HECK! And I signed into the Alumnae portal and wrote a simple little note for my class to read:

Donna Serdula (1996) – After 13 years of working in Sales and Marketing, Donna decided it was time to start her own company. And that was that! I went on my merry way and didn’t give it one little bit of extra thought. A few days later I got a call from a fellow alumna, Sharon Hanscom. She was starting up her own leadership and team coaching company, Excelerate You, and she needed a Website, would I be interested in talking? “Uh, YOU BET YOUR SWEET BIPPY!” I exclaimed!

We met at the local Starbucks. We talked all about Websites and CMSes and Blogging and Rosemont (our alma mater) and that was it. A couple days went by and Sharon called me to let me know that she wanted to move forward. Hooray!

This Website was totally from scratch! We started first with finding the right look for the site. Once we found the right template we then started developing the site map. We worked hard on making sure the structure and pages made sense and were easy to navigate. As Sharon came up with the content, I loaded it into the test site so she could see how it looked. Once the content was thoroughly massaged and perfected and Sharon was happy, I moved it to the live server.

At that point Sharon says to me, “You know Donna, I could really use some business cards, rack cards and a poster for my tradeshow table, do you think you could help me?” Yeah, I can help! So I designed a gorgeous business card, letterhead, rack card, poster AND I created a PowerPoint Showcase presentation for her too! I also did a radical LinkedIn makeover as well but let’s not get into that now.
