Last night I presented at Rosemont’s very first Take Flight With Rosemont Professional Development series offered to Rosemont College alumni and friends. The topic was Exploring Social Media. Rachel McCarter, Rosemont’s Director of Alumnae first contacted me back in December via LinkedIn. Rachel has truly embraced Social Media and has made sure Rosemont has a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

I was awakened by the phone ringing. I cleared my throat and tried to make it sound like I was long awake. “Hello this is Donna!” I croaked.
“When you come by for dinner, I want an autograph!” said my mother, laughing.
“Huh?!”
“You’re in the paper! There’s a article all about Social Net Media… or whatever it is you do and YOU are mentioned!”
On Friday I delivered a presentation all about Social Networking at the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce. The presentation was hosted by the Chamber’s Technology Committee. The name of the presentation was, “To Tweet or Not to Tweet…That is the Question – Which Social Networking Medium is Right for Your Business?”

read moreA few weeks ago I went to the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business Card Exchange held at Sam’s Club. It was a great event. I met Chris Cinalli who became one of my first customers. He’s the one standing to next to me. His business is Alpha-Beta Computer Solutions and I recently designed his Website.
Looking at this picture, I can’t help but wonder, am I really that tall? I look like the Jolly Green Giant… or in this instance, the Jolly Gray Giant!

I gave a presentation this morning entitled: Social Media and How it Can Change Your Business. The point of the presentation was to inform the attendees about Social Media and explain the steps they can take to get involved in Social Media and use it to market their businesses. The presentation was held at the Edgmont Country Club outside Paoli in Newtown Square, PA. It was a little outside of my main focus of Bucks County but still within the greater Philadelphia area.
