Yesterday I presented to the students of Bucks County Community College on how to use Social Media to HELP not HINDER their future career opportunities. John Anastasi, from the Bucks County Courier Times was in attendance and he wrote a very nice article about the event.
Last Wednesday, I spoke at the Community Matters Networking Group on how to craft an amazing LinkedIn Profile. Aaron Nathans, a reporter for Delaware’s The News Journal contacted me to learn more. On Friday, he interviewed me and today his article was in the paper! Here it is:

It’s not as friendly as Facebook, not as hyper as Twitter.
But in a world already saturated with social media, having, and cultivating, a LinkedIn site is the professionally prudent thing to do, said several well-placed observers.
Found two new updates to Facebook over the weekend. Here’s a video I made explaining these updates:
At around 2pm yesterday, I got a call from an old friend and old customer of mine (from my old job back when I sold design software to architects and engineers), Walt Zapor.
“Hey Donna, I keep up with you on LinkedIn and see you are always out doing Social Media presentations!”
“Yeah, I do a couple a month.”

I’ve been using Google Voice for about a year now. It was by far the easiest way of getting a second number without paying a dime! As much as I loved Google Voice, I wanted enhanced functionality… specifically I’ve wanted the ability to see who’s calling me by getting a little pop up caller ID window on my computer screen. It seemed like such an easy thing but I couldn’t make it happen. Continue reading
I just had two friends recently contact me because out of nowhere Facebook cancelled their accounts! Neither know why it occurred. They can’t seem to get any type of answer from Facebook and now they are struggling to rebuild their profiles from scratch.
Hearing their woes got me thinking… we back up our hard drives, why not Facebook? Continue reading
I have a HTC Hero. I took it over to the Sprint store the other day to get the Android OS upgraded since I couldn’t seem to get it to download on it’s own. The Sprint clerk grabbed my phone and tossed it to the guys in back and told me to come back in an hour.
We’ve all heard by now that Facebook has rolled out their geotagging app, Facebook Places.
